ADAMEVE

After many years, Adam (aged 10) meets his Italian cousin Mario (12), who leads him to discover a new, tougher form of masculinity and to believe that his mother Eve will soon abandon him because of her new prestigious job. His childhood suddenly crumbles and pre-adolescence manifests itself in acts of rebellion against adults. The mother-son relationship unravels; the conflict drives them apart, but at the same time helps Adam to grow, leading him to discover the wounds hidden behind his cousin’s aggression.
After graduating in theatre from the University of Bologna, I began working as a theatre director, and my latest play, BOY DISAPPEARS, was staged at the SANT’ARCANGELO INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL. I then moved to Rome, where I decided to study cinema and I was accepted onto the screenwriting course at the CSC – National Film School in Rome.
I made my debut as a screenwriter in 2016 with the film I WAS A DREAMER (73rd VENICE FILM FESTIVAL), the screenplay for which I won the SOLINAS PRIZE and a “Siae” SILVER RIBBON.
So I embarked on a personal journey to refine my writing, drawing from real life, and in every film my approach led me to conduct interviews, participate in the pre- production phase, discuss the cast and the work with the actors, and be present on set. Alternating my work as a screenwriter on films such as: LOS ZULUAGAS (SILVER RIBBON FOR BEST DOCUMENTARY), DELTA (LOCARNO FILM FESTIVAL), IL MIO COMPLEANNO (BIENNALE COLLEGE WINNER), I tell stories from my own perspective. As a director, my first short film was FUORI CITTÀ (CSC PRODUCTION) and I am currently developing ADAMEVE (CONTRORA FILM – SENTIERO LAB WINNER), alongside my debut feature L’ESTATE TRA NOI.
HUNTER
Written and directed by – Lluís Garau
Hunter is a well-known adult content creator who scouts young people on the street. Seduced by the promise of money, they agree to undress in front of the camera. Hunter has never revealed his identity: he films with a GoPro strapped to his chest, and we only ever see his arms and legs.
One day, Hunter crosses paths with Salvador outside a supermarket and activates his usual modus operandi. Through his magnetic personality, he manages to charm him and gain his trust, until Salvador agrees to show him his bedroom. There, Hunter convinces him to go film in the woods and to bring along a friend (Jeremy) to make the videos more appealing.
Days later, they meet in the forest. The boys wander aimlessly, uncomfortable, unsure of what they are supposed to do. Eventually, they stop by a river, where they discover a young woman (Ángela) asleep on the shore. Jeremy approaches to seduce her, but she is the one who takes the initiative.
The young woman leads them deeper into the forest while Hunter follows behind. Soon they lose sight of her, only to find her again, this time seemingly asleep and wearing even less clothing. Hunter pushes them to cross the line and abuse her, recording everything to upload online.
Suddenly, in the middle of the scene, the camera falls to the ground. For the first time, the point of view breaks, and we discover that there is nobody behind it.
That HUNTER NEVER EXISTED.
It was all staged: everyone, including the girl, is involved in creating these videos. Hunter is merely a fictional device designed to generate voyeuristic fascination and make the videos easier to market and spread online.
Lluís Garau is an artist, actor, and stage director. His practice is interdisciplinary, moving between theatre, film, performance, and contemporary dance.
His work focuses on the analysis of teenage behaviour online, particularly processes of self-exposure and the commodification of the body in digital environments. His first creation, La Carn (Flesh),, had a strong international stage life, being presented at festivals such as Queer Lisboa, Sziget Festival in Budapest, and the International Dublin Gay Theatre Festival, as well as in venues across Spain.
The film adaptation of La Carn (2026) has continued this international trajectory. It premiered at the Black Night Tallinn Film Festival and later had a notable run at the Festival de Málaga (Spain), where it received two Silver Biznagas, including Best Film and Best Actor. It has also been selected for SXSW London, further strengthening its presence within the contemporary international festival circuit.
Alongside this, Garau is developing new audiovisual work such as the short film Hunter, supported by several creation labs, consolidating his position as an emerging voice in contemporary performance and film practice.
Isola
Written and directed by – Emeric Le Prince
Two brothers with opposing personalities dream of seeing snow in a deserted ski resort.
When they discover a fragile and mysterious creature there, fear and ignorance drive them to attack it, triggering a series of tragic events that draw them into a spiral of violence and remorse.
Born in 1991 in Lyon, Emeric graduated in Art Direction and Graphic Design from ESAG Penninghen in Paris in 2016.
He began working as an Assistant Art Director at the TBWA Paris agency. He then became a freelance director and collaborated with numerous prestigious clients.
With his then-collaborator, Hugo Roblin, he founded the collective«Moitemoite.» In 2018, Emeric directed his first short film,«Je n’ai pas peur»(I’m Not Afraid), which won the Grand Prix at the Mobile Film Festival and was featured on the front page of the UN website for nine weeks. The film also received press coverage.
In 2022, his second fantasy short film, Ulyx, which tells the story of a pool robot who wants to reach the ocean, was selected for several festivals around the world, including the prestigious Clermont-Ferrand Festival. Emeric wishes to explore human psychology and its flaws with dark, dreamlike films, inspired by romanticism and fantasy.
Pussy Street
Written and directed by – Sélin Van Laethem
Jenny, a 32-year-old businesswoman, lives between Brussels’ buzzing European headquarters and her shabby banlieue neighbourhood. Together with her dog Beast, she clings to a rigid routine while repressing an intense attraction to her neighbour Johannes. When she loses her job and is mistaken for a sex worker, her self-image begins to unravel. Meanwhile, Dani, a sex worker secretly living in Jenny’s attic, slowly forces her to confront her own desire and fear of intimacy.
Sélin Van Laethem(°2001) is a Brussels-based filmmaker whose work builds atmospheric worlds to explore human relationships through a playful, formally driven lens. Centering female perspectives, her films combine humour, immersive sound, and striking visual language to privilege emotional experience over explanation. Her graduation short Fuga Del Gato screened at several festivals, including the Leuven International Short Film Festival, where it was nominated for the HUMO Award.
Looking 4 is a special program of the Figari International Short Film Mkt aimed at creating matchmaking situations between Italian and foreign directors, screenwriters, producers, aimed at the creation of fiction and/or animation short films.
The call is open to directors residing in Italy with an original short film script looking for a production company.
The selection of the scripts takes place under the unquestionable judgment of the Artistic Direction of the Festival. The selected directors will be invited to present their works during the Figari International Short Film Mkt to a parterre of selected producers.
The authors cannot avoid this presentation, under penalty of exclusion from the Festival.
The selected scripts will be 4.
The festival will offer each author two free accreditations, discounts on travel and meals and a Pitch Training session.

Preference will be given to works with already part of the budget covered and films that need companies belonging to certain territories to obtain regional funds.
The selection of the scripts takes place under the unquestionable judgment of the Artistic Direction of the Festival. The selected production companies will be invited to present their works during the Figari International Short Film Fest to a parterre of selected producers.
The selected candidates cannot be exempt from this presentation, under penalty of exclusion from the Festival.
There will be 4 selected projects.
